By the time this wedding rolls around, we'll both be 35. We were lucky enough to find each other a little later in life, and while that wasn't necessarily the timeline we imagined, it has given us a lot to look forward to in a relatively short period of time. Over the next few years, we're hoping to check off a lot of big milestones—getting married, buying a home, starting a family, and building our life together. With so much ahead of us, we decided we didn't want to spend a year planning a large wedding when what mattered most to us was the marriage itself. We wanted something memorable, fun, and a little less complicated. Something that would require less planning, be more cost-effective, and allow us to put more time, energy, and resources toward the life we're building together. As for Vegas, we'd actually been before and had a great time—but we also left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. There were so many things we didn't get to see, do, or experience, for example Fremont street. Going back and doing Vegas right has been on our list for a while, and we figured this was the perfect excuse. So rather than plan a traditional wedding and a separate Vegas trip, we decided to combine the two. One unforgettable weekend, one big adventure, and one very good reason to gather our favorite people in the same place.
