By the time this wedding rolls around, we'll both be 35. We were lucky enough to find each other a little later in life, and while that wasn't necessarily the timeline we imagined, it has given us a lot to look forward to in a relatively short period of time.
Over the next few years, we're hoping to check off a lot of big milestones—getting married, buying a home, starting a family, and building our life together. With so much ahead of us, we decided we didn't want to spend a year planning a large wedding when what mattered most to us was the marriage itself.
We wanted something memorable, fun, and a little less complicated. Something that would require less planning, be more cost-effective, and allow us to put more time, energy, and resources toward the life we're building together.
As for Vegas, we'd actually been before and had a great time—but we also left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. There were so many things we didn't get to see, do, or experience, for example Fremont street. Going back and doing Vegas right has been on our list for a while, and we figured this was the perfect excuse.
So rather than plan a traditional wedding and a separate Vegas trip, we decided to combine the two. One unforgettable weekend, one big adventure, and one very good reason to gather our favorite people in the same place.
If you haven't booked your travel yet, we recommend doing so as soon as possible. September is a popular time to visit Las Vegas, and flight and hotel prices tend to increase as the wedding weekend approaches. Before purchasing flights, however, please note that our ceremony is limited to 20 guests due to the chapel's fire code. Those seats are reserved for our parents, siblings, and their spouses. If you are not included in that group, we kindly ask that you keep this in mind before making travel arrangements. We truly appreciate your understanding and support and can't wait to celebrate this exciting chapter with everyone joining us in Vegas.
Cocktail attire is requested. Our wedding is inspired by vintage Las Vegas and Old Hollywood glamour, and we kindly ask guests to wear attire in our wedding color palette: black, burgundy, deep red, champagne, or soft pink. Think timeless, elegant, and polished. Since we'll be taking photos outside after the ceremony, gathering at the Carousel Bar, and walking along Fremont Street afterward, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and attire that's suitable for spending part of the evening outdoors. Ceremony reservations are booked about every 15 minutes, with the actual ceremony lasting between 7 - 10 minutes. From arrival to departure, plan to be onsite for less than one hour. This includes a required arrival 30 minutes before your ceremony, and a departure about 15 minutes after your ceremony.
